ORDERING POLICIES

PHONED-IN ORDERS
will be taken during business hours (Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m . Eastern Standard Time, except on holidays). If you have questions about items, be sure to call during business hours. We can’t ship to a post office (P.O.) box, so let us know if your shipping address is different from your mailing address. Changes in orders may delay shipping. If calling back to change an order, please ask for the same person who took the original order. Any changes to your original order must be made before 2pm EST, Otherwise, shipping will be delayed at least one day.

INTERNET ORDERS
can be placed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at www.northeasternarborist.com  Our website is secure for credit card use. Orders placed after 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, or on weekends and holidays, will be processed the following business day.

C.O.D. ORDERS
We do not except COD orders under any circumstances.

CREDIT CARD ORDERS
require name, address, phone number, credit card number, expiration date and validation code. In the event of a decline, we will attempt to call you the same day the order is processed. We cannot hold declined credit card orders for more than 48 hours.

SPECIAL ORDERS
or non-stocked items require payment in advance, and are non-refundable and not returnable. There may be vendor limitations on quantity's and/or dollar amounts. Cancellations must be made within 24 hours of the order being placed. Allow a minimum of 30 days for delivery.

BACK ORDERS
If an item is missing from your order, please check the invoice, more than likely the item is on back order (BO). On the invoice column marked "BO" check to see if there is a number, if there is, then item is on back order. “Ship complete” requests may delay the order. We do not call customers of back orders. All orders shipped UPS ground unless special delivery is requested.

PRICES OR PRODUCT CHANGES
Prices, store policies, and product specifications are subject to change without notice at any time.

RETURNS
INCORRECT MERCHANDISE
If you receive damaged or incorrect merchandise from our company, please call us within 3 days of the receipt, we will send a prepaid shipping label, as well as send the correct item without additional shipping costs. Once the incorrect merchandise is returned your credit card will be refunded.
DAMAGED
When your items are delivered to you inspect the package(s) for damage before you sign for or open the package(s). A package must be signed for as “damaged” to process a claim for replacement, and the boxes must be kept for inspection.

RETURN PROCEDURE
restocking fees will apply. Call for authorization first. Insure your return shipment; Northeastern Arborist Supplies is not responsible for damages incurred or the loss of package(s) during transit. Direct shipments (Drop Shipments) to you, are to be returned to Northeastern Arborist Supplies, not the vendor. Upon receipt of the unused item(s), we will give you credit for purchased items (excluding shipping and handling). The only exception to this is nonreturnable items, and special orders. If we accept a return of items, it is our policy to charge up to a 25% restocking fee. It is necessary for you to include your phone number, address RMA#, and a copy of the invoice with any return. Also, briefly state the reason for the return and instructions for replacing the item. We will refuse any returns sent back C.O.D.

SHIPPING & HANDLING

RUSH DELIVERY
“Next Day Air” or other special delivery methods require payment in advance (credit card, check (needs to clear) or money order received prior to shipment), no C.O.D’s.

OUTSIDE USA DUTIES AND TAXES
are to be paid by the customer. If refused, the customer will be responsible for any duties and/or freight paid by Northeastern Arborist Supplies, as well as any “abandoned merchandise” charges. Sales tax is applied to orders shipped to a NJ address.

HEAVY WEIGHT ITEMS
such as cable, fertilizer, spools of rope, etc. will significantly increase shipping costs. Therefore, the freight chart does not apply to orders containing these items. Exact shipping cost cannot be determined until the weight is totaled and calculated against your shipping zone at the end of the day. International shipments are quoted on an individual basis, depending on destination, weight and dimensions.

OVER-SIZED PACKAGES
Due to UPS and FedEx regulations, the shipping charges for over-sized packages (such as but not limited to: poles, large power tools, and log carts, etc.) will significantly increase charges.
